Brews on The Bricks is organized by Downtown Hays Development Corporation (DHDC). DHDC is a local non-profit. Since 2001, DHDC has worked to foster awareness and promote Downtown Hays as a vibrant center of commerce, recreation, arts, government, and history.

Brews on The Bricks Craft Beer Festival is an annual event hosted in Downtown Hays. It is a premier craft beer event that enables breweries from across the country to showcase their beers. It also features a wide variety of food vendors, live music, games, and a homebrewer competition.

In only it's 5th year, it has grown from an attendance of 400 to over 2,000. It serves as the largest fundraiser for the Downtown Hays Development Corporation (DHDC).
